Dark Market Square

Rows of tents, stalls, kiosks and sheds create a haphazard maze of paths in the middle of Gartanu’s central plaza. In the center of this unorganized and ever shifting conglomeration of structures is a raised platform made of a dark wood. The stage is around five feet high, with narrow treacherous steps on both the east and west sides. It sprawls a bit unevenly across a 30×30 foot square.

The dark market square has been primarily used by the Terruizengan nobles and soldiers to make announcements and conduct public meetings. With the first wave of new arrivals it has become the center of the town’s new economy of trade. Goods brought in from outside the walls during the day often ends up for sale somewhere amongst within this rising bazaar. Particularly unique and rare items finds it’s way to the auction held every so many days upon the center stage.
